Sitting in North Carolina, contemplating the ending of the Holiday Season. I've spent the past few days helping sister learn how to do a modified St. Petersburg Chain necklace, finishing her pieces that needed to be redone or new projects too learn. I was able to visit Alice's Lace and Linen ( great little bead and fabric store ), in Whittier, NC. She was supposed to be closed for the holidays but Alice was kind enough to open for us. Kristen my sister drew my name in the Family draw. I received a $ 50.00 gift certificate to Alice's. Then there was a special visit to Birdsong in Andrews, North Carolina. I took in my Cab Bead Embroidery pieces to show them. I had purchased the Cab there in October....they loved it and I was fortunate enough to come when the year end sale was in progress.....OHHHH YEAH! Heading back to Florida tomorrow and I will write more when I return home. I do regret not seeing Aryd'ell while I was here.....and I shall miss my family.
More to come..................

Wonderful Christmas Party at Beads and Baubles.....
We had such a great little " get together " on the 15th of December at Susan's store...our gift exchange was so cute and Deborah was ill and still delivered her gift. I got wonderful lime green tone stones for pearl knotting and maybe a fushia or sherbert orange drop.....Cannot figure out where those Sherbert Colors keep coming from..... LOL! The stainless steel ring order came in so Genny Smith brought them with her and I bought two Christmas Tree Earring kits, one for me and one for PK for Christmas...They turned out just lovely and what a great pattern. Participants in photographs:

Pearls and Lace Class at Beads and Baubles in Ft. Pierce 12.10.11
You can tell the Holidays are upon us....class was limited to one, Martha and she decided to take the pattern in a different method by using 8mm pearls instead of 6mm. Needless to say, it was fun to recalculate the pattern as she was beading it. The piece did come out striking and as always Martha used Organic colors. I'll post a sample of the pattern. I did complete a pair of earrings that will match this piece and will photograph those later.
On Thursday the 15th we have a Mini Retreat of the Florida Bead Retreat Group at Beads and Baubles....a good many of the ladies that were at the Robbinsville retreat will be there to include Jamie, BeBee Goddard, Genny Smith and just a whole group. I can't wait to see them again.

What a blessed day.....can you just feel the blessings of Christmas around the corner?
Friday was such a non stop day today at work, but I did finally take a small break at lunch. Needed new shoes for work and picked up a few items for Christmas. But the two blessings of the day were friends I have met through the Bead Network....Genny Smith and Aryd'ell Hotelling. Aryd'ell posted on Facebook a beautiful pendant in Pearls ( True Cancer here, I love pearls )...and I just could not stop thinking about how wonderful the piece would be " On my neck "..... And she sent it too me. She has been the kindest friend one could ask for. Genny as thoughtful as she is sent me wonderful patterns that Aryd'ell had sent to her. Just total sharing and sisterhood. Meeting Genny through the shop at Beads and Baubles and meeting Aryd'ell at the North Carolina Bead Retreat has been a memorable moment. We all now participate in the Florida Bead Yahoo Group and Beadreamz. What more could I ask for?
Michael my son who is stationed in San Diego called this morning, he is so excited to be flying in for the Christmas Holidays.....he will arrive on the 15th, spend a few days with his father and then spend time here at home with JR ( his older brother and myself ) before we leave to enjoy the holidays in Cherokee, NC.
Now on to beading. I teach tomorrow at Beads and Baubles in Ft. Pierce, the lovely" Pearls and Lace". I cannot wait to post the photo's of the students work.
A perfect holiday season.

Can't you just feel the spirit as the Holiday's arrive?
Well, it has been busy as always at work but each evening this week I have been coming home to tackle the Bead Tray...lot's of projects to complete before we leave for North Carolina to have Christmas with the family. I have finished three ( 3 ) Stars of India and I need to find a perfect clasp for the White and Red piece I finished tonight. I have found a true love of #2 Bugle Beads. And of course I have the honor piece on the Bead Board. A Sherry Sarafini ( gosh, I wish I was ) example bracelet. I took this piece to Beads and Baubles in Ft. Pierce this past Saturday and Susan Barrett gave it a wonderful critique. Genny Smith also emailed me a wonderful gift of patterns that Aryd'ell had just shared with her. After the Holidays the Bead Looms need to become active and I need to spend time in learning how to use the new Olympus 35 Digital. I have found out that I can have a Header designed for the Blog, so off to ETSY I go.
Take a look at the Bead Board piece and let me know what you think? I think it will make a wonderful cuff and the colors work well with the Cab.

The Musing Bead Emboiderer
Well, this is a first. Working as a Contract Manager, I never thought of blogging. But I was introduced to blogging when I attended my first Bead Retreat in October, 2011 in Robbinsville, NC. I never thought of following the journey of Beadworking and Bead Embroidery, but I think this is a perfect medium for everyday thoughts, posting new patterns and sharing with the " Bead buddies ", all of the new work that just seems to"bang around " in the brain cavity, even while sleeping. So consider this the opening Blog. I'll post current work and wonderful pieces my students complete. Classes that are being taught at Beads and Baubles in Ft. Pierce, Florida. The wonderful events of my son's lives, just fun stuff.
Thoughts are welcome at any time.....I love to critique and I love to be critiqued.
