I really am not to savvy on the Royal Chains Lariat or Three Graces...but we will see.

Then with the Beaddreamz Yahoo Group I have an Earring Exchange due before the 14th of February....
Huuummmm!  I know there is more, I'll just have to write them all down and add them again.

Memories and Thanks Blog Hop Reveal

When Lori Anderson of Bead Soup Cafe posted the following request, I was like yes, I'll do this:

This Blog Hop is for Marianna and for someone that is close to your memory:

"  This blog hop is both for Marianna and for those people in our lives who mean a lot to us -- a mom, a friend, a brother -- anyone who has meaning to us.  Create a piece of jewelry that tells that story. For instance, Marianna loved red and cardinals, so if you would like to make something in honor of her, you could use red, or you could use beads of birds, leaves, trees, nests, eggs -- things like that.  If you have a friend you want to remember and thank and she's a painter, you could make a necklace full of the colors she often uses in her paintings.
Bead Soup Blog Party".

It was kind of funny that I had just completed the Sherry Serafini Piece " Ripple Effect" in Reds and White and is now in the header of my blog.

Who did this piece remind me of?  My mother " Ellen Magdalene Brown " and my best friend of thirty years " Leah G Schad ".  Both strong women and both loved to wear red.
I kept thinking as I was putting the finishing touches on this bracelet that my mother and Leah would be arguing over who was going to wear this.  I lost both of them over the past five years.... WOW!  Five years.  My mother Ellen was a breast cancer survivor but with multiple surgeries and anethesia she entered into the twilight of Alzheimers'.  A disease that has taught my family a thing or two on suffering.  Leah was also a breast cancer survivor and my last week with her was walking in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in West Palm Beach, FL .  I could tell she was tired after this but she enjoyed the celebration of surviving.  She passed from a heart attack within the week.

I was blessed to know them both.  My mother was my best friend and Leah was my best friend.  I miss them both, the comradery, the love, the laughter, the tears.  We had experienced so many years together that there will always be that place..... right there in the middle of my heart.  This spot is always reserved for them.

2008 " Race for the Cure " with Leah Schad

Precoisa-Ornela Twin Beads.....

Oh my, I am now hooked on the Twin Beads.  Ordering them madly after Precoisa posted a lovely floral pattern on Facebook.  I have used Precoisa size 11's for years but these patterns are just stunning, yet simple.  Make sure you like " Preciosa-Ornela " on Facebook to keep up with the stimulating designs.

http://www.preciosa-ornela.com/Project-Floral-bracelets

I did get the Helena Tang Lim " Twinni Bracelet " pattern to work on as well so this could be a fill in
Twin Bead month for new creations.

I also happened across the Precosia Ornela " Beads for Blog ".  Christine of " Good Will " recieved
a December selection for Blogging.  Yep, I signed up and I'll be posting away along with looking for
hints on the Preciosa site.

Revealed hints:

Alice's Teapot is home.....

Alice has returned.  It is always with a little regret when a Round Robin ends, but Hark, another one has begun.  My Alice has returned home and the ladies did a spectacular job making her an Alice in Wonderland.  Even the sweet little face has that Alice effect and I just love her.

Back

Isn't she sweet?  I will need to get a love nest to start displaying all of these wonderful creations.  Now, on to the shoes.

Eva Maria Keiser....Bye Bye Blog

It was with great sadness to see that Eva Maria Keiser will no longer be blogging and she said goodbye yesterday morning.  She is moving on to design and expanding her beading products.  I shall miss seeing her daily blog and reading her selfless sharing.

I'm in a Chainmaille mood........

I finally finished a wonderful Byzantine Necklace in Stainless Steel rings ( yes, Stainless Steel Rings, the dings on the hands are many ) and added a cross.  I like the look of this and plan on making a few more this month.  Thoughts?

After making ten Helms Weave Bracelets and Sterling Silver Helms Weave Necklace with matching Bracelet and a Sterling Byzantine, I believe this settled nicely for the Chain Maille run.

Since Genny Smith has me in an earring mood, I also finished off a few more Feathered Earrings just for fun. Tomorrow is a Baby Shower, then back to beading.

So many beads.....so little time......
