Rolanda finished http://beaded2bless.blogspot.com/  " Firefly" for competition.  These were the feathers that we all worked on to give her flight....here is an excerpt from the Beaded2bless blog:

Doll Journey: It Isn't over Yet!

Some might call this the end of the journey, when the project is complete, but it isn't over yet!
It is really only just beginning.
A new doll has been born!
A new season! A new Birth to celebrate!
A name has been chosen!
It is my privilege to introduce to you:
I want to send out a special thanks again to the 14 ladies that gave her wings.
Joetta Adams,
Judi Burkhalter,
Jeanne Evans,
Aryd’ell Hotelling,
Gail Isbel,
Rose Mary Jameson,
Catherine King,
Gwen Mazzocco,
Candys McCulley,
Gale Michel,
Ann Page,
Karan Parker,
Debra Pyeatt, and
Jena Tuntas
You all sent so many home to me that not all of them were used but everyone of them blessed me!
I am sure they will all find a home at some point.
You made it possible for me to meet the deadline with a completed vision.
And thanks to Natalie with her camera and to
my husband  building a light box, I have awesome photos!
Now to see if she is accepted into the exhibit....
Blessings to each one of you!

Awesome job Rolanda......I can't wait to hear if she is accepted.

Catherine and Joann preparing their Lacy's Stiff Stuff

Catherine #2 First Cab placement

Anne's First Cab placement
Jamie Cloud Eakin just had a wonderful review on Facebook for her new book, " Dimensional Embroidery" and they were wonderful enough to post a PDF of Jamie's stitch guide.  Of course, I've downloaded, I love her work.  I finally upload the photo's from class one of Bead Embroidery of Cuffs, such fun.  I am currently finishing the Dicrohic Glass piece cabachon, working on my 3D swap for Candy S. McCullen in Oklahama, a sister in my Bead Dreamz Yahoo group and preparing for a weekend of beading for the Florida Group on the west coast of FL next weekend, Chokolosee            ( Everglades City ) to boot.  I love the group of people I have been blessed to become friends with and spend time with.

Wow.....it is amazing at times how much beading has become a part of my life.  Aryd'ell just emailed and wanted to know if I would go halfzie's on " Heather Collins new RAW patter " Hindia".  But of course, it is a beautiful RAW pattern with pearls.

I taught yesterday at Beads and Baubles, part one of two class on making a Embellished Cuff.  Anne decided to do a striking necklace piece.  I'll upload the photo's tomorrow.  I finished the Dichroic piece that Aunt Ginger sent me, it is becoming a striking, vivid beaded cabachon.  I cant wait to upload photo's tomorrow.

Working on Rhonda Geron Pattersons " feathers".  A sister from the BeadDreamz Yahoo group, she put out a call for assistance to make these wonderful " Herringbone " feathers to finish a doll she is working on.  I got to see the use of a curved needle in one of her photo's.   Then on to complete the 3-D challenge.

Post more later......

Well, its Superbowl Sunday....and I am finishing up my " Romancing the Rivoli " by Sherry Sarafini....It's coming out so well.  I did change a few things from the pattern but I think Sherry would support that.  LOL!
I'll post pictures tonight.  I did start the 3D Challenge pieces ( the Seahorse ) in size 8 mm beads.  It is a beautiful pattern but I don't think I did it justice.  I'll try again so I can mail it out to Candy in Oklahoma.

Bead On!
