Changing my Blog Around.......

Well, you know those artist types......they just keep changing things around just to see how it appears.
The dark backround from my previous blog layout was too dark and I really, really, really love to see
color in all of it's glorious form.  I love the clean, crisp layout of  Marcia DeCosters " Mad Design" site, her colors are vibrant and stimulating...... more changes to come.

Bead Hoarders Blog Hop

SO... today is the day for Lori Andersons " Bead Hoarder's Blog Hop".  As always, Lori has tantilized our imagination after our Bead Soup Blog Party for one additional Blog Hop for all of those Bead Hoarder's out there........  Way to go Lori!

It was a tad difficult to contemplate " Bead Hoarding " as a Bead Embroider.  But as I positively adore working in Vintaj Brass, I gave it a go:

The first piece is a lovely Sea Design from sunny Florida, using Vintaj Brass and a few odd's and end beads I have had stashed in the closet.  Sea Blue of course.
This piece was inspired by a article in Stringing, and it just took off with Charms and Vintaj Brass pieces.  My first go with my new Bail Pliers.

Secondly,

A Five Strand RAW ( Right Angle Weave ) piece.  This bracelet was due to a miss order where I ended up with ( 300 ) Three Hundred 4mm Bicones of the wrong color..... LOL!  I just could not send them back, so TaDa......a five strand bracelet that sit's charmingly on the wrist.

And Lastly,

I had recieved a charming crucifix as a gift and had just ordered a lovely rosary chain.....  I could not be happier.

I hope you'll pour some coffee, pull up your footstool and enjoy visiting the following " Bead Hoarders" as they WOW you with their newest treasures for their Hoarded Stash.  Thank you Lori for allowing us to play
with our beads and I look forward to our next adventure.

My Favorite Things.....Gwen's Garden Angle

My Favorite Things Yahoo Beading Round Robin.....

And with all of the other items mailing on the 15th, here is Gwen's Beaded Garden Angel just before she
flew off to Arizona......

As everyone knows, I just love orange....but I believe on the next angel that comes through, I'll develop a different technique.......

New Beaded Art Dolls Round Robin...." We are all different "!

After contemplating on how the daylights I ended up in Two Round Robins with mailing dates of the 15th of each month.....I just sat there for a moment and decided.......it's all good.

So my second, one month behind of my " My Favorite Things " Round Robin......I have, we are all different which started yesterday.

Here is Reggie my Seahorse beginning form.  I decided to bead his eyes.  Just had this same vision of
what I wanted so I cannot wait until he returns.

So, if I seem frazzeled on the 15th of each month.....just bare with me.

Cabbing " Cabachon" at the St. Lucie Rock and Gem Club....

It had to happen....." The Ladies of the Evening " our Facebook Group that meets Bi-Monthly to Bead, Laugh and just catch up from our hectic schedules ended up taking a Cabachon class at the St. Lucie Rock and Gem Club.  http://www.slcrockandgem.org/

The lovely Hilda Pollack, supreme leader in our trials and tribulations of working with the Rock Saws, Grinders and polishers was actually not overwhelmed with  Deborah Apodaca, Genny Smith, Sarah Clark Bromley and myself and we didn't even require first aid.

We learned the first night, the progression of how a Cabachon is made.
Thank you for the photo Sarah and then Hilda worked with us both collectively and individually through the
next few weeks as we perfect our cabbing.  She get's a kick out of my comments....Oh Yeah!  I'm beading that.....

Here is a quick photo of Deborah andGenny at the polishing machines.  I just need to obtain a photo of Hilda, Sarah and myself.  :)

But my biggest moment was my first Cabachon.....
Oh yeah!  I'm beading that........
